Our November Board Meeting will be held at Murphy Recreation Center - 300 Shunk Street at 6:30PM. Topic of concern is the plans for INOLEX property at 16 Jackson Street. Please plan on attending to have all your questions and concerns addressed.
On Tuesday September 21, 2021 Whitman Council will hold an election for its Officers and Board of Directors for the term 10/1/2021 through 9/30/2023.
Candidates for “A” Directors must be resident members of the Whitman Council, Inc. (as defined below) and must be at least 18 years of age.
Candidates for Officers must be resident members of the Whitman Council, Inc. (as defined below), be at least 21 years of age, and must have served as an “A” Director for two (2) years or 1 Full term immediately preceding their election as an Officer.
The boundaries for Whitman Council, Inc. are situated within the south side of Snyder Avenue on the north, the east side of 7th Street on the west, the Delaware River on the east, and Pattison Avenue and I-95 on the south.
Anyone interested in running must submit a letter stating his or her name, address, telephone number, the position being sought, and a copy of a document verifying residency.
